Took my kids to see their doctor and afterwards we were hungry. The outside may look 'blah' but I'm glad I came in. The food is very delicious and tasty here. This has been the best Vietnamese I have had! We had the sweet and sour catfish soup, beef ball pho, and coconut curry noodle soup! All had amazing flavors.Must try if you are in the neighborhood!

After 14 years coming to Sai's (next to the Transamerica building in SF) It's remarkable it has survived 35 years in such a coveted piece of realestate. The food is outstanding. Portions are generous. Taste and quality are consistent no matter how busy they are: Texture, flavors, spiciness, and most importantly CRUNCHINES! Oh man ... My favorite orders: Combination #3 grilled beef, deep fried battered shrip, crispy imperial rolls, rice and cabage salad. Umph* - Virmachelli bowl with grilled pork, and a side of imperial rolls. You must dunk your bites in the little fish sauce provided, in which you add a splash of hot chili paste for an additional kick. They are super super super busy during lunch time, please be mindful and respectful to cultural differences. You can have the place to yourself from 4pm to 9pm during the week. If you made it this far in reading my review, you've deserve the ~in. Salud*
